App-V packages does not show in Citrix Studio

September 13, 2016 by Ulrik Christensen Leave a Comment

One of the features I XenApp and XenDesktop 7.8, was App-V integration. This feature enables you to publish App-V packages without using a Publishing server. All you need to do is to create a share and copy your App-V packages to this location.

When you add your App-V packages, you might discover that your App-V packages does not show in Citrix Studio. You did not get any errors when you added the package.

The reason for this is because you probably do not have the correct permissions on the share that you are using for your App-V packages. If you give your DDC’s read permission on the share, you should be good to go.
