It has for the last couple of XenApp version been possible to connect your XenApp infrastructure to Microsoft Azure and provision your workloads there. It is a great way to get started with hybrid cloud in your company. You can move your backend on to Microsoft Azure and then deliver the frontend application using Citrix XenApp from Azure. You can also easily scale up and down depending on your needs.
All of this is great, but what is the cost? You do not want your budget to run wild and it has been difficult to figure out what the cost is going to be to run your Citrix XenApp workloads in Azure.
Citrix has now launched Citrix Azure Calculator. With this tool, you can easily figure out the price on your workloads. It lets you type in the type of worker, number of seats and number of hours to give you a monthly price.
The Azure Calculator will help you to get an overview of the cost of running your workloads in Azure vs. running them in your own datacenter.
Take a look and try it yourself right here.
